Akiko
I was born in the birthplace of reiki: Japan. Long before I first encountered Reiki, I recognized that I was a strong empath. I can feel when others need love and care. My first pivotal experience with reiki began during my cancer journey. I received Reiki before and after each major surgery or treatment. Reiki helped me feel at ease in the midst of a journey that was anything but easeful. I have a tendency towards high anxiety, so for me to experience that anxiety transmuted into peace and grounding, was a life-changing experience. I want to help others going through similar seasons of stress or crisis to experience that ease. I realized that this was my soul purpose.
I went on to become Reiki I certified under the tutelage of Guillermina Neal. I then pursued my Reiki II certificate via the Usui Shiki Ryoho of the system of natural healing honoring the lineage of Dr. Usui and Hayashi and Mrs. Takata.
I am committed to living out my life purpose by offering Reiki to humans and animals who are in need of light, love and care. I feel especially called to serve those four-legged creatures who are facing cancer or are nearing death. Beyond those existential moments, I also find great joy in serving humans who are in seasons of general stagnation, struggling to release old patterns, needing to feel “seen,” or are going through a time of transition. These moments hold huge potential for clarity and transformation.
Specifically, my mission is to help individuals release fear so they can open their heart to receive healing. This simple act of opening one’s heart allows for a reconnection to original essence and the whole world responds differently to us when we are aligned in that clear way.
