Meet Lyon
“I called upon Akiko to help my cat, Lyon, deal with pain associated with a severe ear infection that was so bad he stopped eating and wouldn't hold his head up. The night before I was able to get him to the emergency vet where they cleaned his ears, ran many tests, administered fluids, antibiotics, and pain meds. The vet noted that Lyon was reacting in pain while his ears were being cleaned while fully sedated. The following day he was still lethargic and clearly in pain and when Akiko came into the room he got up, walked over to her, and put his head in her hands. He allowed her to work on him for quite some time, even after I had to leave home. Lyon is the most skittish cat I've ever known and it was incredible that he knew that Akiko could help him. Within a couple of days he returned to his usual, silly self. I can't thank Akiko enough for helping Lyon heal and get through the pain. She also helped give me piece of mind during a really sad time. “

“I can't thank Akiko enough for the incredible care and insight she provided for my dog, Kelly! Recently, Kelly, my Yorkshire terrier, was diagnosed with a mammary carcinoma (breast cancer), and I wanted to make sure she was feeling okay emotionally and physically. Akiko took the time to thoroughly assess her condition, gently petting her and tuning into her energy to gain a deeper understanding of her well-being.
The moment Akiko arrived, Kelly was at ease in her presence. She quickly relaxed and even fell asleep during the session, right next to Akiko, whom she just met. It was clear that she felt incredibly comfortable.
What truly amazed me was how Akiko was able to communicate my dog’s emotional state. She sensed that my dog wasn’t in any physical discomfort, but that there was some tension—likely stemming from my own anxiety about her condition. Akiko also sensed warmth near my dog’s back legs, which later turned out to be inflammation in her hip joint. After the session, my dog was noticeably lighter, more energetic, and in great spirits. I felt so much peace knowing that she wasn’t in any immediate discomfort, and that she was emotionally well, too.
